There Are Cheap Bad Credit Credit Cards If You Know Where To Look

It seems like things are often the most expensive when we can least afford to pay for them. This holds true for products, services, and even credit. Someone who has poor credit faces a higher interest rate and lower credit limit, if he or she can even qualify for a credit card.

Not every card designed for the credit challenged is horrible, though. People can find cheap bad credit credit cards if they do some online research.

When looking for inexpensive credit rebuilding cards, a UK consumer should limit the search to cards applicable to UK residents. This eliminates the many cards designed for residents of the United States but there are still plenty of options.

Individuals who look hard enough should be able to find a few cards that have decent interest rates and some nice features like fraud protection and online account management.

The Capital One Classic card features a 34.9 percent variable representative APR for purchases and balance transfers. If the cardholder has a balance on a higher rate card, this can be transferred to the Capital One Classic card for a three percent balance transfer fee.

Maximum credit limit is £1,200 so consumers must monitor their spending. The low credit limit is designed to encourage responsible use of credit.

Individuals who need a higher credit limit will prefer the Aqua MasterCard. The maximum credit limit is £2,200 and the standard variable representative APR is 35.9 percent.

This card is designed for people who have a poor credit rating and want to use a credit card to improve the situation. If they pay off the balance in full each month, they may be able to do so within as little as six months.

Vanquis Bank offers a card that is not necessarily cheap if the balance is not paid in full regularly but it has another valuable perk. Cardholders may qualify for an Interest-free period of 56 days, something that makes it much easier to swallow the 39.9 percent variable representative APR.

The Vanquis Visa card is designed for someone with poor credit and a person without a credit history. It helps these individuals build their credit in a positive manner.

When it comes to credit cards offered to people with bad credit, “cheap” is a relative term. In general, these folks always face higher interest rates and lower credit limits than others with outstanding credit. However, the interest rate only becomes a factor when the cardholder does not pay the balance in full each month.

If an individual spends only what can be repaid each month, the interest rate never comes into play and it should be relatively simple to rebuild credit. That is not to say that is will happen overnight because it takes longer to repair credit history than it does to destroy it. Just ask anyone who has been through the process- the road can be long.

Cheap bad credit credit cards are ways to streamline the credit rebuilding process and get the consumer on the right track. Once the credit improves to an acceptable level, the person should qualify for lower rate cards.

By finding the cheapest rate available with a credit rebuilding card, the entire process should be less expensive. Keeping costs low while remaining exposed to credit is the perfect balance during this transitional period.

As what my mother always tells me, to only spend what you can pay each month. I always make sure to buy things using my credit card if I can have the money before the statement comes. This can break the bad habit of spending and then not able to pay the whole balance.

Interest rate and other finance charges could lead to another problem. I agree to only spend what you can repay in a month. This will make your life easier and debt free.
